I wish my post would have transferred over: subject downloading my poker site. Seems I am in the same position again and of course, it doesn't work.

My impession is that same software is available from a number of different sites. Have your tried downloading it from elsewhere? (Or am I wrong about the multiple sites?) Thanks for responding, It's funny, I was thinking the same thing so when I googled other poker sites the other nite I clicked on a FTP site that looked different then the main one and tried the download and it got as far as 13 mb's which is pretty good but after that it was back to the 100 to 500 kb's before it completed or at least it says it's completed. The total download if really successful is 40 mb's. I have tried several ftp sites since then and it always takes me back to the original site. They have given me instructions to do a trace on my phone line. I have decided that is just another waste of time. You two had just as much trouble as I did to try to download. I am looking for another site. They have the best graphics, etc. Oh well. Thanks for you help!! Roxanne

Jimmy, I thought you would want to know that I did finally get that poker site downloaded. I had to turn off my virus SW, my ms upgrade, and I had to lower the security settings to almost off plus I had to change coppers access number. It worked, do you believe it? The clincher was the security settings. Changing each one at a time let me realize that the security settings was the straw, lol.

Thanks for the update. But it scares me hearing you talk about turning off security settings on a Microsoft Windows system. But I don't enough enough about that to do anything beyond bite my fingernails! Good summary of technological attacks on freedom: http://blog.ofset.org/ckhung/index.php?post/106a

I don't know why that repeated and 2 mins apart? Well, I hope this makes you feel better. For most of my life on the net I never had any protection so 2 hours now doesn't bother me although I didn't waste any time turning everything back on, lol.
