P.S. They call it "practicing" medicine for a reason. Wise words. Poul Anderson in a Dominic Flandry story that "plastic surgeon" would be replaced by "biosculptor". Medicine has an element of art and you are paying for professional intuition. Also remember what I saw in one surgeon's disclaimer: There is no exact outcome for a biological process.

I really appreciate your posts wxdan. I'm still having so much trouble getting decent sleep. It's hard with the constant screeching going on at different levels. I sleep mostly days now, and I'm up all night until the sunrises. Sometimes I wonder how far have we actually come in medicine? We have the fancy tools and machinery, and the medicines which it seems are more poison than medicine. I think people are living longer thanks to Louis Pasteur who was never a doctor, but fought with the doctors to wash their hands clean their instruments and bandages. People in general are certainly much more cleaner than they were in the olden days thanks to plumbing and indoor bathrooms. How are you doing these days Lyris? I don't blame you for not posting about your health status because of the nasty comments but there are some of us here that are concerned with your progress. I do hope you have some answers and are sleeping better? My daughter prolonged her bout with alcoholism because of the noise in her head, unfortunately. I can feel a great deal for your plight, I am sorry. As for me I don't sleep well either but mine is pain. Sleeping or lack of it can effect your life in so many ways, mostly negative. Please let us know how you are doing! There are those of us that do care.

I appreciate the kind words from some of you, but I have discontinued posting in this topic. I have one on My Blog, but only I can see it as I don't need cruel comments from the teabaggers on something too sensitive. I will be seeing my neurologist on how to take care of my illness. why would anyone post nasty comments about one's health.? if anything we should be an encouragment . Lyris, my nephews wife has developed a tumor on her brain stem which is inoperable. They don't know even if it is milignant or not but they are treating it as if it were. They cannot do a biopsy. She has gone through the usual treatments and has been bed ridden for almost the last year due to severe diziness when she sits up. I spoke with my sister yesterday and it seems like Debbie has been able to get up as of late and is taking Physical therapy. Don't give up and if you wish, take your affliction to the Prayer room. The Power of Prayer does marvelous things. God bless and have a Good God Week.

I agree, but yoyo pappey and others have posted horrible things on another topic named Brain Tumor when I was first time I had two brain tumors. They said some of the most horrible things and lied about me. This is why I discontinued posting anything about what's happening to me on this topic as well. I'm so sorry about your nephew's wife. Believe me I know what's going on in her mind. I tried burying the fear I had deep inside me for weeks before I was able to see the neurosurgeon weeks later after my first MRI that my "tumor" was benign. I hope that soon she will know the truth and that it's benign. After that the rest is easier to endure, including the severe dizziness which I also suffer from. But later I was told I had brain lesions which can come and go, and they do. Thank you for your kind words dajcat, your prayers are very welcomed, I call them my chats with God.
