Mad Mad Mad Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you

Moose and Martin, you boys calm down now, or risk being sent to bed without your raw veggies and Vegan dip.

Scared

I think it's been cancelled this year. My teahouse friend has quit reminding me to make plans for the outing. We are supposed to go to a party on Sunday, for her sister's 80-something birthday. If the outing isn't mentioned on that day, it's a pretty good bet that we won't have one this year.

I am always concerned about my teahouse friend. She is aging ahead of her age (which I've already seen once with my mother), has a lot of known health problems, and tends to conceal her ailments from the rest of us because she gets tired of being lectured and receiving so much advice as to what she should do. So I never know when she might be concealing something new. Sometimes I wonder if she's contracted diabetes and is keeping her mouth shut about it.

Anyway, no birthday this year. I get to skip a year due to aging twice in '09.

Sorry, that doesn't work at your young age. Late 60's-70's you can skip one but not yet for you. So lets have it, when is your birthday??

Well maybe what I should have said is that you have to have the raw veggies and Vegan dip before you can go to bed.

You are not so bad yourself, Mr. Martin Man. (Except when you are very very bad.) Wink

Recently a friend who's survived breast cancer gave me a sack of scarves and wigs she wore during her chemo. After my go-round with yummy oncologist over the wig I bought myself, I've been leary of trying her wigs. But today I had to stop by the oncologist's office for a follow up injection and thought he wouldn't be in, so I wore one of my friend's short blonde wigs. All of the nurses and desk people (who baby and spoil all of us patients) flocked around to "oh" and "ah" and rave about how great I looked, what a great color that hair was on me.

Suddenly someone showed up at the edge of the group and cheerfully called out "excuse me, ladies ... can I get through?" It was him. Yummy oncologist, trying to get past us to the door. But instead of Dockers and checkered shirt under a lab coat, he was done up in dress slacks, solid blue shirt, tie and jacket.

OMG. Love

See, now I'm starting to get the yummy part.

He walked by me without any particular glance or comment kind or saucy, and I don't even think he realized it was me.

But I sure knew who HE was. Love
