Last night I found the stout at Binny's Beverage Depot - a wine, spirits and beer superstore. But I didn't buy it yet. I called to confirm it's in-stock. The nearest location is a quick 8 minute 'el' train ride, much easier than driving.

I also found 3 Chicago pubs that offer it for $5.50 to $7.00 per 12oz bottle. Hmmm... I'm gonna get the 6-pack at Binny's for $10.99.

I know you beer experts will know this, so I am going to ask it.
Something I've always wondered. Why when you drink beer in the sun you don't get drunk? I remember when going to the ocean years and years ago, we used to drink beer out there on the beach, it was the only time it didn't affect me.

Hmmm... It must have been weak, fizzy, pale yellow, flavorless American beer, like Budweiser, Miller, etc. BigGrin

Yepper's, the more popular, mass produced, American beer's are real low in aclchol content! The high-octane stuff is hard to find, unless you make it your'e self!!

HEY,Miller is my bud!happy
Awkchully, it was cerveza in rocky point Mexico. We could drink all day off and on and never get a buzz. Here, it is half a can and zzzzzzzzzzz city. So, hmmmmmm, I dunno. Unless their beer is watered down. Or maybe I was just a drunk back then and could handle it but no that's not it either cuz back then I couldn't handle it if it wasn't on the ocean. Maybe it's a mind thing, lol???

Perhaps tomorrow I'll fetch this brew from Binny's. Tonight I sat on the roof and ate half of a large pizza. Washed it down with a Becks and a Negra Modelo. Found them hiding on the bottom shelf of the fridge. Also found 2 Coors Light - not sure how they got in there. Must have been 'leftovers' from a poker night.

The Irish part of me wants to share this with y'all.

Irish Confessional

An Irishman goes to confession after years of being away from the Church.

In the confessional box there's a fully equipped bar with Guinness on tap. On the other wall is a dazzling array of the finest cigars and chocolates.

Then the priest comes in. "Father, forgive me, for it's been a very long time since I've been to confession, but I must first admit that the confessional box is much more inviting than it used to be."

The priest replies, "Get out. You're on my side."

Here is the promised photo.......notice the color in the clear bottle...and this is high alcohol content...throw you in the ditch on your butt. This came from the original batch of four gallons, 6/28/09. Tastes best after May of 2010. Small glasses; drink slowly.
