Would be nice if the blog owner could set up a 'friends' list and registered members on the 'friends' list could leave comments without moderator's approval but all others' comments would be held back for approval; sort of like a 'moderated sieve'?

#1: At the bottom of some VERY long page of blogging instructions somewhere that I can't even find now, there is a comment or question box. I have submitted stuff there twice that has never been posted so I'm supposing that no one is monitoring submissions from that comment box? Or maybe you-all are just tired of all my q's? #2: on the blog posting instructions it says: 'Use Control+Click (PC)' do I hold down the ctrl button while I click, or do I press ctrl and release, then click? #3: on the blog posing instructions it asks for categories and again for add a category??? #4: at the bottom there is a choice between 'save post' or 'publish to public'. Is 'save post' the same as 'save draft'; or does 'save post' mean it is visible but only members? #5: I am just totally maxed out in frustration and confusion over all of these massive instructions. It is VERY confusing to navigate back and forth, or up and down, through LONG instructions, and reading on the monitor is giving me a headache. Just now, in the middle of this post, I tried printing out: http://beta.mycopper.net/blogs/CopperBlog/
and it is SIXTEEN PAGES LONG!!!! IT should be illegal to dump 16 pages of instructions on old people who have no idea what half of these words mean!!! I need a vocab list. Instructions for setting up a blog should be able to be printed out on JUST ONE PAGE OF 8 1/2 X 11 PAPER!!!! #6: I want instruction on how to remove my blog and quit!

How can I completely delete my blog before new Copper goes live? I do not have any posts.
I want to know how to delete the name and everything, as if I had never set up a blog.

I think I lost track of a post on a certain subject, so do please forgive me if my question was answered elsewhere... What if I start a blog after we beam up to the new mycopper.net and I decide, at some later date, that I want to delete the entire blog? Will that be possible? I do not see a way to do that here on the beta site. Am I missing something other than the usual few marbles? Don't Tread On Me!

As of now, you cannot delete your blog. It's on the list to be discussed at our next meeting. Jeff Shepler Copper.Net Engineer

For some reason I wasn't able to post pics in my blog today. Followed the same procedures I did in the past but it wouldn't post.

I looked at your blog and it looks like you tried to use the bbcode (forum-speak for the [whatever] tags, like [ img] and [ url]) for the image instead of just the address. The blog editor isn't anything close to what the forum editor is. The blog editor is a "real" wysiwyg-ish (what you see is what you get) html editor. When you click the "insert image" button, you just paste in the address (e.g. ttp://img407.imageshack.us/i/funnycartoonpictures62.jpg, but this url doesn't appear valid as it returns a 404 error which means it's not found). On a side note, the button to the right of the "insert image" button is "insert image from gallery". This is a place where you can upload your own images to our server for use in your blog posts. Blogs will get nuked. What URLs are you referring to? We don't have anything to do with gravatars other than displaying them (they're not stored here). I think we can keep your profiles intact (avatars and personal settings). Jeff Shepler Copper.Net Engineer

Since the blogs are being nuked (deleted), it won't point to anything. You'll have to re-create your blog. You can use the same name and url if you'd like. Well, obviously the "beta.mycopper.net" will become the same 'ol "www.mycopper.net". Jeff Shepler Copper.Net Engineer

Oh Noes! the death of Rambling Rose is marked for the 13th . Such a short life ending so abruptly. But at least we know through nuke-u-lation she will feel no pain. "On every question of construction carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to William Johnson, 1823

I used "edit" to change the name of one the categories on the blog and now when I click on the new category name I get an internet explorer error - the address cannot be found.
Suggestions?
Also - I just found - of 3 categories listed: 1) clicking on one of them will show only posts designated to that category 2) clicking on another will give me all postings to the blog rather than just the ones designated to that category and 3) as mentioned above, clicking on the third kicks me out w/ and error message.

The links genenerated for those categories in question are invalid due to some of the non-alphanumeric characters you used (in this case the & and / characters weren't properly encoded). Also, there's a problem with the ' character on the blogs page's category cloud that I still need to fix. It's my fault. I should have tested the link generation more thoroughly. I'll put this on my list. Jeff Shepler Copper.Net Engineer

I need to know how to get two of my posts out of a certain category. They are in the right category but are also in a wrong one too. I tried to delete the category under the topic put to no avail. I am getting confused by the categories and tags. I would like a copper tech to answer not any wanna bees. Thanks
