Milk is good, as is $13/kWh electricity (well, $.08 would be far better). For what? At my anual 1807 kWh for 4 person household with 2 working places, the difference would be only $7.52 per month. No, I'm only stating the obvious. Yout an arrogant asshole that thinks everyone should live as you do.No. I want to have a high living standardin 100 yearsin 200 yearsin 500 years and so on.And there are irresponsible people living like youngdogs in the day. This irresponsible people are destroing any possibilityfor my high living standard inin 100 yearsin 200 yearsin 500 years and so on.So I want that this assholes steal my future What's worse you advocate everyone dispose of their appliances (that's Earth-friendly) and burn their houses (good idea) and join you in your cave. No thanks, dickwad. The US solution to stop world war II was to destroynearly all houses in German cities and in Japanese cities. My solution to win world war 3, the fight against theclima disaster is to destroy all the houses waisting senslessenergy and replace them by far more comfortablesolar houses. This would lead to a situation, that I would not carefully look for good high efficiency appliances. Good idea. When it pays to but them they will be bought. Just because some yooro-nut decides that he's hollier-than-though, well...I am reasonalbe. I think for my future. You are nut. You do not want that there is a future This would maybe lead to a situation, that I use 4000 kWh of far to cheap electric power, paying more than before. Pay even *MORE*. A device that can store data on a tape. The advantage of storing data on a tape is that a tape can hold large amounts of data in a small and inexpensive package. On the downside, a tape cannot store the data indefinitely, and it is expensive and slower compared to a hard drive. But tapes themselves are cheaper, and are more easy to move around than hard drives. - cvbn@no.com wrote: "Just Plain Insane" <321@123098.net> wrote in message news:bgmr79$ok2$4@blackhelicopter.databasix.com... You could not do this with dial up. Ummm, sez who? Its called Internet Connection Sharing and a hub. Very easily done, and not to slow when you are using a shotgun setup either. I believe you can use certain router models with serial modem "backup" port. presumably router doesn't require ICS. your hardware is probably lower cost? assume both multilink modems are in a single, "first" computer. however, dialup into one computer then thru hub to give access to second computer requires the dialup computer be powered up for second to access the net. this discusses details: http://www.zdnetindia.com/print.html?iElementId=9509 Increasing Your Bandwidth With MultiLink Learn how to speed up your Internet dial-up connection with a second phone line and a second modem. Greg Shultz, December 18, 2000 i think each modem will require it's own cheapo under-$10/month accounts. total monthly = under $20.The Orinoco RG-1000 wireless residential gateway has a built-inmodem. The first user who tries to sign on causes the router toconnect to the ISP you define. Subsequent users get throughimmediately. No need to have a specific machine connected inorder for others to connect. A much nicer solution than ICS inany form. And the problem with using a router with a serial portfor a modem is that there are very few models out there so youwill likely pay more than you would for a generic router. And yes, I do have a spare RG-1000 available for sale :-).Bill
A two-terminal electronic component that resists an electrical current and turns the extra current into heat. Resistors are rated in ohms, and can be used to regulate the voltage and current in a circuit. Basically, a resistor resists the flow of electricity. Resistors are used to lower voltages and currents so that components that require smaller voltage/current can function properly. If a power supply puts out 12 volts - I like Microsoft's XBox Live product in that it organizes the meeting and games but it seems like it'd be ludicrous to believe that it would be in service indefinitely. Consoles generally last 5 or so years before being replaced. Allowing for a few lag years, I still don't see how one would be able to play an XBox Live game that you really like 10 years from now. BradI think the plan with Xbox Live is to carry the service through to the nextgeneration console as well. People will likely be able to continue to useXbox Live with new games on a new system a few years from now. As long asthere are people playing the current generation of games, people will likelybe able to play those online also. There is of course no guarantee that theonline features in a game will work 10 years from now and most companieshave disclaimers of that nature that accompany their services or games. Most Xbox Live games also have a single player component and that of coursewill continue to work as long as you have a console to play it on.
This is not a speed standard like V.32 and V.34, but an error correction and compression method that is hardware-based. Its major improvement comes from knowing when compression will be beneficial and when it will not be. - KREMEN v. COHEN, No. 01-15899 (9th Cir. Even though they are social security checks and they have my current address on then, they want something else with my address on it also before they cash it. (I mean, I have a gas and electric bill, but it is a pain in the rear to have to carry bills with me when I am trying to just cash a check, that already has my current address on it.) MaryWell, since you brought it up, why would anyone still get SSchecks mailed to them when it is SO much easier to get themdirect deposited? There was a story on the news last week aboutsome SS checks which had been delayed in the mail and how peoplewere not able to buy food, and my initial reaction was the sameas my reaction to your post: why are these people still gettingchecks in the mail?Perhaps you can give me an explanation that I haven't thoughtof? Certainly it can't be that you don't like having your checkin your account on the day (or maybe the day before) it wouldarrive in the mail and not having to find someplace to cash itfor you.Bill
