ISP Information:
A circuit board that most commonly accepts a Socket 370 and/or FC-PGA microprocessor, and in turn plugs into a Slot 1 motherboard connection. Thus, socketed microprocessors can be made to work on motherboards with only slot connections. ISP Glossary:
Slotket - | > if my line's ampere is shared by > 2 devices ( mdm & phone| > ), DCE spd will drop from 45333 to 41000 bps.| Modern phones have solid state| devices instead of an analog bell, there is no significant load on the line.I've used a ohm meter to measure the load of 2 ( push button ) phonesmade by 2 different manufacturers in Msia : both are capacitive, soboth will let some of the high frequencies present ( when online ) flowthrough them, amounts ( in mA / A ) will depend on the # of Fpresent.| I had two lines. Both got the exact same connection speed even though one| only had a modem on it and the other had several phones (3 of which were| cordless and one of which was a wired unit).Measure each of their loads ( may not be capacitive ).| Swapping the lines at the NIC made no difference either.A tiny amount of high frequency lost may not produce a noticeable dropin DCE speed.
