Employees at Norvergence's headquarters inNewark, NJ were reportedly told by the CEO on Thursday that thecompany's investors had abandoned them and that the company's assetshad been frozen. They were also told that they would not be receivingtheir paychecks and that the company would be filing for bankruptcy.The move comes after the carrier came under investigation earlier thisweek by the New Jersey Labor Department for allegedly bouncingemployee paychecks. Over 1,300 employees at the company's Newark, NJoffice were told that they must leave immediately, and were escortedout of the building by security.
