Afterready my below story, I believe you will agree that due to therepolicy, it would be a VERY! bad idea to shop there for your holidayneeds.MY NOTE TO WWW.BESTBUY.COMI am sending this message after having a very disturbing experiencewith the Miamisburg BestBuy store. On Sept 25th I purchased a $600dollar digital camcorder for my wife's birthday, I explain to thesales person that I was not sure that she would like the gift andwanted to know the return policy, he then showed me the 14 day "likenew" policy that appeared to be a fair enough policy, 14 days, if likenew, no 15% restocking fee.I agree to the policy and purchased the item, within 4 days my wifedecided she would be happier with a digital camera setup with adocking station that printed photos instantly, I then went to returnthe digital camera..THIS IS WERE THE NIGHTMARE STARTS! The LIKE NEW policy was not usingthe same definition as we all understand it in the US. The managerwas trying to charge me a $90 dollar restocking fee, I asked him whatthe definition of "like new" was, I QUOTE!!! if the seal on the box isbroken, it is no longer "like new". END QUOTE!! As you could imagine!I was standing there in disbelief, and he then told me that anexchange was OK and full credit would be given if we exchanged formerchandise at the same cost. NOW!! I had already decided to never dobusiness with this store again! and really did not want to giveanother penny to this store, but in order to not loose $90 dollars in/begin rantI'm wondering why EVERYONE who creates a newsgroup postinsists on spelling "lose" "loose". It's not just you - I've readliteraly hundreds of posts with the same mistake. I've also seenthis mistake on dozens of websites. Can anyone explain this?"Loose" is *NOT* an alternate spelling of "lose". In fact, it is acompletely different word. Don't you just hate it when you post a message raking someone over the coals for their spelling/grammar or word useage and you go and make a spelling error yourself? Literaly???...I assume you meant, "literally". I don't normally criticize people for their spelling/grammar or improper word useage, but when someone who _does_ criticize makes an error in the process of correcting others, I can't help myself..... and what about "due to there policy" ?
