A 2G digital standard for cellular phone communications that is used in many countries. GSM communications bands range from 900-1800MHz. The GSM initials were initially derived from the French "Groupe de travail Spciale pour les services Mobiles." Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) - A unique 128-bit value generated by some Microsoft applications. An example of the GUID format is: 12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789ABC.

Global System for Mobile Communications - - Rossville, Tennga, and McCaysville, GA (adjacent to Chattanooga, Benton, and Copperhill, TN respectively) - Liberty (Cherokee County), NC (adjacent to Copperhill, TN) - Georgetown, GA (adjacent to Eufaula, AL) All these areas are served by central offices in TN/AL except for part of the Rossville rate center which is served by a CO in Georgia (which also serves customers in Tennessee and has a CLLI starting with "CHTGTN" = Chattanooga TN even though it's physically in Georgia.)I worked for AT&T in Tucker, GA.
