ISP Information:
This type of mechanism implies that you can remove or add things while the system is powered on and running. For example, hard drives and power supplies are often candidates for this term, but more expensive servers may even have hot-swappable memory, PCI cards, and processors. Normally they come in special proprietary form factors in server machines and RAID boxes. If you've got mission-critical applications, you want y ISP Glossary:

Perhaps afull init is sent as a reset command and then the actual init, as definedby you in modem properties, is sent. This would be the likely cause of your trouble. Find all instances where youcan examine the configuration parameters of the modem and make sure at leasterror correction is enabled. If it is enabled everywhere, I would beastounded. I suspect it is disabled in your dialup icon under modemproperties but I cannot be sure.I am doubly confused because your initial report with the ati6 showed errorcorrection enabled and established. My suggestion is to uninstall and re-install the modem, verify theparameters you choose include enabling error correction, and try again. Thencheck the operation and the modem log. If it disables error correction againthen you will have to search your registry for the inits being sent andcorrect them there.--Hooda Gest"In a New York minute, everything can change..."
