An ethernet standard for cable. The 10 refers to its 10 Mbps bandwidth, the base to single channel baseband, and the T to Twisted pair. The cable uses two pairs of unshielded twisted wires. ISP Glossary:
10baseT - I believe criminal (yes, CRIMINAL) charges should be filed againsttelemarketers if they knowingly call someone on the list, even if thelistis not enforced yet. At the very least, that would be harrassment. Ifyouare not required to use the list, but call someone ON the list, KNOWINGthatthey definitely DO NOT WANT you to call them, couldn't criminal chargesofSOME type apply to that situation? Actually, in this case, we need the ability to file Rank Stupidity charges. Any telemarketing company who calls numbers on this list after Oct 1 and *doesn't* expect to get cussed out by outraged never-will-be-customers simply isn't paying attention. If they can't tell that calling people who are on the list is going to be a complete waste of time, even if the implementation is blocked, then they're too stupid even for telemarketers. BenAwww, but you missed the point. They WANT to piss people off. They do itDELIBERATELY. That's why the DNC list is necessary. If it wasn't fortelemarketers actively trying to be a pain in the ASS, there would be noneed for a DNC list. -Dave
