Like most people, I hatewaiting to see a doctor when I have an appointment and I have evenswitched doctors because of it. Even so, I do see the doctor's pointtoo. Medical doctors are damned if they do and damned if they don't.Every patient wants the doctor to spend as much time with them aspossible when they need care. On the other hand, no one likes to waitfor the doctor while he or she spends time with other patients. Eachpatient has unique needs and questions so it seems nearly impossible fora doctor to predict in advance just how much time any one appointmentwill take.I solved this problem by only scheduling appointments with my doctorwhen I can get the first appointment of the day. Rarely have I had towait more than ten minutes for an appointment at a very busy practice.
