'Consumer Services' claims they did not make the call, and they are probably right, but it's a new trick now to avoid being caught making these call as far as the promoter is concerned. I've found info that this may be related to the whole 'fax.com' matter, but it remains unconfirmed. How this all got started anyway was an illegal recorded message call promoting a six-night stay in Orlando. They only used the recorded message to tell me about the promotion, gave the confirmation code, and directed me to call the number given, which is 800/897-2063. I called it, and got treated rudely. Tried to ask for supervisors and the phone room manager, and none is in or they only have their answering machines on. Chantal confirmed the street location, but refused to give me the local (949 area code) number for corporate. Their agents are very rude. They claim to be taking calls for 200 companies if not more, and I don't see it given the rudeness. In looking them up on the net, they don't have any website nor do they appear on any business directory for the area, at least those I found in Google. But freespeechstore.com did have something about either them or a similar company known as 'fax.com'. I called a retail store up the street from them, and they did not know that 'consumer services' was on Aliso Creek Road. Anyone have any info confirming how to reach the company's management and/or the relationship to 'fax.com'? Might anyone have any info on the 'Orlando Vacation' promotion they are talking about?I'll reply to my own post with an update.Spoke with Consumer Services again and they vehemently deny beingaffiliated in any way with fax.com, and I will believe them on theirclaim of not being involved with fax.com unless anyone can proveotherwise with any other corroborating evidence, including legal prooffrom cases, etc.Got their address, then promptly filed a complaint with the FTC,naming Consumer Services in the complaint specifically on account oftheir refusal to name the guilty party as far as the initial recordedmessage phone call they made to me about the 'Orlando Vacation'.
