A postage stamp-sized Flash memory card that allows data to be saved onto it. MMC cards are a means of exchanging data between PDAs, phones, digital cameras, and other devices, but they can also serve the function of acting similar to a hard drive on a PC for the storage of data and programs. The MMCA (MMC Association) was founded in 1998 to push the MMC standard.
