ISP Information:
Cables that consist of pairs of unshielded wire twisted together. These cables are used for data and telephone networks. They are cheap to produce because they are unshielded, and they get their shielding by being twisted together in pairs.

Unshielded Twisted Pair - OK, as previous thread, I believe my modem is now an USR OEM 2977.Works great with XP Pro SP1, connects fast.But every once in awhile, while connected, it still "looks" connected, butjust stops transfering data. I close out the connection, call back, noproblems. Is VERY rare, so Im not too concerned with it. Just wondered if itwas a known bug, with a "fix". Most days (99.9% of the time) it neverhappens. It doesnt seem to be an error count thing.
