I'm going to buy a chest freezer and would like to know which appliance brands provide the best warranty service. I'm not interested in which brands are the most reliable because almost all freezers are actually made by just two companies, Woods and Frigidaire, unless made in China, regardless of what brand name is listed on the appliance. I prefer a brand that uses Woods because of their ten-year sealed system warranty. I'm worried about quality of service because I've read things like Maytag not requiring sealed systems to be pumped down to a vacuum when something like the compressor is changed, just flushed with Freon, which can't be good for service life. I'd like to know if any other companies have similar lax standards so I can avoid them.
