ISP Information:
A test to see whether data has been transferred properly over a modem or to and from disk media. The sender of the data adds a check number to the end of the data being sent, and the receiver applies the same check to the data and compares the number it gets with the check number. If they don't match, the data can be requested again.

Cyclic Redundancy Check - I have two 9600N81 systems.One dials the other, which auto answers.When the connection is established, the answering side has changedto 96007E1.With traditional modems I have never seen this behaviour.The modems always kept the settings they autobauded to from thesystem they connect to. But with this particular PC-Card D-Link modemon the calling side, the change takes place.How can I inhibit modems from reconfiguring?Thanks,Anders J
