Java Virtual Machine - Hello:In an effort to get my dial up modem to speed up, I have been lookingat noise related diagnostics reported by modems. From what I've readin this group and elsewhere, the value of the "estimated noise level"that is given by a diagnostic output from a modem is not comparablebetween different vendors. And, I have yet to find an explanation ofhow this noise level is calculated.Therefore, I was wondering, does anyone know of any software writtenspecifically for testing noise levels on telephone lines using a modemon a PC?
