Pizza Hut's pizza is just one small step above frozen pizza as far as quality is concerned. Next time, order your pizza from a local pizzaria and you are bound to get considerably better quality pizza than you will ever find at Pizza Hut. I'm no fan of Pizza Hut but your statement above shows a definite lack of experience. Not everyone lives in New York City or Chicago so pizzas tend to be less like manna and more closely related to water-logged cardboard. Where I live, there are several single-joint (or two-store) pizzerias and I wouldn't feed any of their pizzas to a group of hormonally imbalanced teenagers, let alone discriminating adults. For one, their pizzas cost twice what PH charges for the same thing; two, these same pizzas are just as devoid of taste; three, most of them don't deliver and those that do deliver soggy slop. I have to laugh at someone (sorry) that talks about serving pizza to "discriminating adults." Come on - when most adults eat any pizza, they have to engage their brain into fast food mode. That's why chains like Pizza Hut and Domino's, (and in the past Straw Hat orShakey's) thrived. "Most adults" don't give a damned about any food, it'sfuel, filler -- nothing more. Add some "fat" to it to cover the mouth-feeland it'll sell faster than you can keep it in stock. The minority, thosethat corporations avoid catering towards, are discriminating adults and, assuch, use their funds accordingly, towards providing the best meal. Nichepizza (Sam's Woodfire in Sandy Eggo and Willow Glen are two such) placesthat cater to this demographic. If the larger chains could, they would, butthey can't so they smack their breadbaskets with food denuded of tastes andtextures... You can't having anything in the sauce that might cause John Doeor Jane Smoe to sit back in shock; they won't buy another pizza from you.The cheese has to be processed to give it a silky texture when it melts. Thepizza has to be uniform in thickness, size, and taste; that means JohnnyMinimumwage or Grandpa Scilian can't be tossing it then. Pizzas _have_ to bemass-made Fridays and Saturdays (or Sundays during football) sothe best tool is that enlarged Burger King burger oven.As I said, I'm no fan of PH, Round Table, or Domino's. I'll add to that listPapa Murphy's and Papa John's (since PJ's took the whole clan down after onevisit.) If I'm going to buy a pizza, I'll buy it from Mountain Mike's (SantaClara only!) or Tony & Alba's in Mouton Vieux but I prefer to make my own(as do my guests) since we can tell the differences. The Ranger--"All Scottish cooking is based on a dare"Mike Meyers
