ISP Information:
Any computing environment where there is a service agreement between the people managing the computing resources and the users. Additionally, data center has come to mean a website or network with its resources dedicated to providing information on a particular subject. ISP Glossary:

I havebeen a memeber for over 5 months and the rate hikes for the variousplans were spelled out to us in an April 16th e-mail. The rate hikesare to take effect on June 15th. The increases are 10 %, 13 % and 25% for the 3 DVD, 5 DVD, or 8 DVD "at a time" membership plans. Theheavy users of Netflix will therefore bear the brunt of the rateincreases.I don't think that the the rate increases are what people arecomplaining about, but rather it is the significant drop in thequality of Netflix's service over the last 2 months or so. Thiscoming at a time while they brag about how much their service hasimproved in the same memo that they announce the rate hikes. Myquestion is "What improvement?". Several times now, my Netflix que(the DVDs s that I have out) has closed the day with 1 or 2 DVD's lessthan what I paid for (even though I have over 100 on my waiting list).Sorry, I pay for 8 at a time and so I expect 8, in my hands orenroute, not 6 or 7. Their claim of DVD delivery in one business daywas true when I first joined, but once I switched to their 5 andultimately 8 "at a time plan", that one day delivery rate has droppedto less than 30%. I commonly now see two, three and for this week,FOUR days for delivery times. The same applies for returns. Manytimes those returned to the post office at the crack of dawn on FridayAM, do not get logged in to netkix until Tuesday of the followingweek. Of couse a delay here and there on their part saves them moneybecause of fewer mailings per month on their all you can view buffetplan. We return all of our rentals within 24 hours, but with thedelays in shipping and handling, the best you can expect is 4shipments of your plan limit per month. With my wife, two youngteens and two toddlers, we became a Netflex "8 at a time" DVD familyseveral monthes ago. This is not essential? We cancelled cable TVbecause Netflix was a better deal. You want to handle a bunch ofirate kids when their expected DVDs always arrive late? It's easierto face IRS tax auditor...So, should it really take that long? My complaint to Netflix broughtabout a computer generated response blaming thje post office for thelate deliveries. Funny, I also belong to Wal-Mart's on line DVD rentalclub. Their shipments have ALWAYS arrived in one business day (45/47deliveries) Their rental program is also less expensive thanNetflix. and finally, they receive and ship rental orders on Saturdays(Hey Netflix, for a 25 % increase in my rate, you should shipSaturdays too, or, hire more people to process the income-outgoingshipments in a more timely manner). So you see dear Friends, there isan alternative to Netflix. What are the cons? Well. WalMart has alibrary of 15.000+ titles vs Netflix 18.000+ titles. so there might bea short waiting list for a popular new release. I have never had aproblem. Also, they don't have the DVD pigout option of 8 at a time. The max you can have out at once is 4. So, if your are really pissedoff with Netflix, vote with your pocketbook and use Walmart. I willstill use Netflix even with the price increase. My in-laws will bemoving in next month, so I need all the diversions I can get my handson. If the service with Netflix gets to be really bad, I will quitthem (there is no service contract) and get a nice low stress job thatwill keep me away from home for longer periods of time -- like aS.W.A.T. team member or something!
