Clearly they are not honoring theircoupons even though all requirements are met, is that not false advertising?Or to put it another way - why isn't it false advertising? After all theypromised something (a salad) but go back on their word when a customer showsup - they didn't honor their advertising, i.e. its false. I don't knowwhat the legal requirements for honoring coupons in general are, but if acompany says that such and such coupon is good during some period of time atthese locations and fail to honor it during such times and at such locations, they certainly aren't being truthful. Look up the coupon. Read the fine print. It clearly states "Offer valid at participatring locations only."I did, it does NOT say that. It does states "Available at participatingMcDonalds". Nothing about 'valid' there or 'only' there. It does also say"Redeemable at ANY McDonalds in the " which lists, among others, the MetroEast. That indicates all Metro East locations are participating. If it doesnot, it self contradictory and makes no sense. Do you have any difficulty in understanding any of those words? No, do you? "THEY" didn't promise anything. You seem to accept the statement you selected at UrbanLegends.com as gospel, yet you are totally ignoring the fact that McDonalds Corporate flat-out denied that the coupon was issued by them. And several good points were made by the site for not believing them.Have you read the Urban Legend site? They pick apart McDonalds statements forgood reason. The coupon has a photo of a McDonald's salad, the new logo(graphics) for the salad, describes the various salads in detail, hasMcDonald's customer phone number, all neatly placed in the coupon, etc. Ittook some time and effort to make this up (and locate all the references, photo, descriptions, etc), not something a pranster is likelyto spend time on. I've also yet to have a local McDonald's state that thecoupons are fake. They were accepted (by friends at work) at one. I know ofanother that said they were good, but only after 11:00 when their lunch menustarts. Even the McDonalds that turned me down said they were NO LONGERaccepting the coupons, not that they weren't valid.
