It may be that you thought you didnothave Call Waiting but, in actuality, you did. Yes. I have it. You are right. Sorry. But in such case I wonder how it is that olcall works but the utility that came with my modem drivers' does not work. I recovered my old v.90 modem with the jack to allow olcall to monitor the modem line.Well, that I can't answer with any authority. I would point out that modemsare designed to hang on to the line through brief interruptions of carrierand that the V.92 feature must be activated in both local and remote modemsto work. But, since you simply want the modem connection dropped on anincoming call, there might be a way to do it.The S10 register sets the duration, in tenths, of a second that the modemwaits after loss of carrier before hanging up. This is generally set at 7(7/10s of a second), try lowering this to 3 or 2 and see if that allows themodem to drop off quickly enough. If it works you may also experienceunexpected disconnects when there are no incoming calls and that's thetradeoff you have to decide is worth it.--Hooda Gest"The only thing I do immediately is procrastinate."
