Reported to abuse@edmonton-freenet.netPlease stop spam with illegal schemes! and you reposted the whole figging spam! The only ones worse than the spammers are the anti-spammers who think that SOMEONE ELSE should deal with their overflowing mailbox problem. Please explain how the common user should block spam. Please explain why companies should spend millions of dollars blocking unwanted spam sotheir employees can focus on working instead of plodding through mountains of spam. Anti-spammers are trying to do something to stop this flow of UNWANTEDand UNREQUESTED email. I'm a fan of spamcop and spam assassin as well as killfiles. The thing is though, employees getting spam is normally their own fault because of surfing on personal time. ::shrugs:: Seen too much of that first hand working with 300 users. Looking at cookies, history, logs and all I was never suprised to see them get spam. But, surfing on company time is awhole other story.Personally I use MailWasher. It bounces spam and (for what it's worth) makesthe spammers think my email address is a dead. From what I understand is forspammers email addresses fall into 3 catagories.1. Alive and actively used addresses (which is why you NEVER respond tospam)2. Alive but activity unknown3. Dead and useless. (which MailWasher hopes to imitate)Yes, I totally understand that a large percentage of spam that employeesreceive is due to them giving out their personal email addresses for nonwork reasons. Mine receives maybe 1 spam a week and that's only when somespammer figures out our all@thatcompany.com email groups.
