Nearly 3,000technicians throughout the Southern California region are working torestore more than 400,000 feet of aerial cable burned during thefires, as well as an additional 300,000 feet of fiber cable.In the days following the start of the fires, SBC crews have alreadyrestored service to 65 remote terminals and placed 93,000 feet offiber cable and 62,360 feet of copper cable in San Diego County. Inthe Moorpark, Simi Valley and Piru communities near Los Angeles, crewshave replaced 30,190 feet of copper cable and 8,250 feet of fiber. Asof Friday, October 31, approximately 11,900 SBC customers remainedwithout service in San Diego County.
