ISP Information:
Invented by CompuServe for efficient transmission of graphics, this format can only support 256 colors, or 8 bits. The newer revision, 89a, allows for multiple images in one file to simulate animation. Unisys owns the patent to a form of compression used in GIF files and occasionally decides to demand licensing fees. Thus, you may want to use the newer and completely free PNG format instead of using GIF files. ISP Glossary:

They are more trouble than there worth andmany are scams.hogwash. As long as you stay with reputable manufacturers you*usually* don't have a problem. I've mailed in hundreds of dollarsworth of rebates in the past 10-15 years and haven't had a problemwith any of them. Also, almost all rebate procedures are exactly the same. It doesn'ttake a rocket scientist to figure it out.Mail in bar codeCopy of receiptfill out formsend in all three.I mean DUH.For the most part, it's true. But, you forgot the part after "send inall three" where you respond to the postcard claiming they didn't getthe UPC code or receipt. I've gotten two of them in the past twoyears. I finally got a $50 rebate 15 months after I was supposed toget it, mainly because I kept pestering them. Last week I got adenial card for a $5 rebate. Assuming I wasn't lied to when Ie-mailed them, all I had to do was to send a copy of the receipt(again). We'll see if I actually get it, but being five bucks, Iprobably won't take it any further. Before I send a rebate, I scan everything. Then I staple everythingtogether and scan that. THEN I send in all three.
