Watt wrote: I am used to querying a modem on a DOS computer with the Bitcom comms program by entering Hayes commands from the keyboard and now am trying to diagnose a Sporster modem on a windows 98 SE with Hyperterminal. I have looked thorugh two Windows 98 manuals without seeing how to do it. In the "Connect Using" fieldselect from the drop down list "Direct to comm X" where X is the commport assigned to your modem.You should then be able to enter e.g. "AT" and recieve an "OK" responsefrom the modem if local echo is enabled.
