Check out Speakeasy.net -- I use them in the Burlingame/San Mateo area, and they are most excellent. Slightly more expensive than SBC, but you really get what you pay for. Also look into sonic.net. I am in Palo Alto; they definitely are available in Menlo Park. Very professional, great customer service, three available news servers, user-configurable spam filter.
