ISP Information:
A type of EDO RAM that can read three consecutive memory locations in three clock cycles--a 1-1-1 burst. This makes BEDO RAM much faster at reading large blocks of data than standard EDO RAM. However, it cannot operate faster than 66MHz, limiting its applications in today's computers. Burst EDO was never more than a niche technology. ISP Glossary:
Burst EDO RAM - "Brian and Cristina Dennison" wrote in messagenews:28819-41296879-101@storefull-3271.bay.webtv.net... Around the beginning of summer, we purchased a "vintage" oscillating-stand fan at our DeKalb, Ill Wal Mart. It now has something wrong with it (it won't revolve when we turn it on) and of course the reciept AND box are long gone. We are HOPING that that individual fan only is crap and the line/company of fans are OK. (??) We purchased this fan specifically because the retro/vintage look matches our home decor. All we want is a simple exchange, not a refund. Well, the local store doesn't have any more of that style/model and the mgr I spoke to says no nearby store does either. And without the reciept or another like fan in the store, they cannot help us. So does anyone know any good ideas or can anyone check their local stores and maybe get me the manufacturer's name and/or the actual name and/or model # of this fan, so I have some information to go on? I really want to get another fan of this style as opposed to a different one. The fan is 3 speeds, oscillating, about 4' high and has a kind of "gun metal" finish. PLEASE e-mail us directly with any ideas/help. Thanks.Try searching ebay. I just did a search of "oscillating fan" and came upwith a ton of hits. I'm not suggesting buy it from ebay, but maybe you canfind brandnames or something there to then go and try and find at a store?Or, maybe you can actually get a *real* vintage fan... my grandmother hasan old oscillating fan in her apartment that's from the 40's that looks newand works as good as the day it was bought. My parents have one from thelate 60's (I remember when they bought it when I was a kid) that also looksand works as new.
