AMD added a feature to its K6-2 processor, running at 400MHz, called write combining, that queues up memory requests until there is a sufficient amount to fill the bus. So, AMD refers to processors with this technology as having the CXT Core.

You ignore the fact thattelemarketers deal with very low response rates every day and that,given enough volume, even a fraction of a per cent of a chance eachtime is all that's needed to make a (good) living. You ignore thefact that most telemarketing pitches are fast and high-pressure, aimedtowards the impulse buy because someone who has time to think about itprobably wouldn't buy. You ignore the fact that your call may beanswered by someone else in the house, possibly a child or trustingsenior, who could be persuaded to listen. You ignore the fact thatthe sales pitch may be misleading or even an outright scam.You ignore the fact that these people just don't give a flying figabout anyone but themselves.Telemarketers are the single largest cesspool of people so antisocialwho, in simpler times, would have been chased out of every villagethey came across at the point of a pitchfork. The obvious cheap answer is that telemarketing slime will go out of their way to be obnoxious for the fun of it.There's that, too -- I've heard all sorts of unconfirmed stories aboutwhat telemarketers do to exact revenge on rude customers. It'stempting to dismiss them as myths, but I have received at my@spamcop.net address messages containing nothing but profanity, copiedexclusively to @spamcop.net addresses. Where's the profit in that?That's just the kind of people we're talking about and the way thatthey conduct themselves.Organizations like the DMA would like you to believe that telemarketing,like just about everything else in the world, has its good and bad,and that the profession on the whole is an honorable one whosereputation suffers from the misdeeds of a few. However, the fact thatthese people are challenging for the right to ignore your declaredchoice not to be disturbed has convinced me that the industry isprimarily slime, merely clothed in varying degrees of the illusion oflegitimacy and hiding behind well-intentionaed and naive laws designedto protect legitimate commerce. Telemarketing is as hostile to anhonest, considerate businessman as deep space is to an unprotectedoxygen breather.
