This is memory that is built directly onto a processor. For example, a graphics chip may have embedded memory instead of using separate memory chips. Use of embedded memory in PCs and PC components nowadays is fairly rare, as attaching a large amount of memory to a chip reduces yields and increases costs.

When the receipt checker looked at our register tape, we discovered that only one of the DVD+R packs had been entered - apparently the clerk assumed that the stack consisted of one 50 pack rather than two 25 packs. The overall order was total was high enough that we didn't notice the underring. If we had taken the asshole approach you recommend, we could have ended up being charged with shoplifting. By cooperating, we ended up paying exactly what we expected, and the misunderstanding was cleared up quickly.I always check my OWN receipt and have never seen an error that wasn'tin the store's favor. (One of the best was $350 for a copy of Byte magazinewhen it was still around. Another dip counted the "turns" of wire thinkingeachturn was another item.) Most of the checks are nothing but an annoyance andan intrusion with the checker having absolutely NO IDEA of what the itemsare.The best of the bunch seem to try to COUNT the items to see if the number oflines on the receipt match the number of items you have but they seem to getconfused if you buy more than one of the same item.But, I am glad that YOU have no problem giving up your constitutional righttofreedom from unlawful search.
