Yesterday I started the notebook and had no wireless connection butthe rest of the network was working just fine. I tried to check the wirelessconfiguration on the router screens but the option wasn't enabled. I thoughtthat was weird so I decide to turn off/on the router to see what I could get. After that, the router is only usefull as an expensive 10/100 switch.I tried to connect to internet and couldn't. I tried to check again the routerconfiguirations but couldn't get to it. Pinging the router 192.168.123.254gives a "Resquest timed out". Connecting 2 computer to the router, with fixedIP addresses 192.168.123.1/255.255.255.0/192.168.123.254 and192.168.123.2/255.255.255.0/192.168.123.254 (IP/NetMask/Gateway) can "see"each other but can't see the router. I tried everything I know to make the damn router work but I couldn't:(( I don't know what else to do (I also tried to do a reset ). Is this a dead router? Anyone can give me some tips to find a way to make the router work? Ialready tried to contact USR Robotics but had no reply (what else is new). Thanks in advance for your help.--Did you try a hard reset? Most routers will allow you to restore therouter to it's factory configuration with a reset button. Once you dothat, restart the cable modem as well. If you can't get to theconfiguration screen after that on any of the computers then therouter is dead meat.
