ISP Information:
The largest size of a data packet that can be sent over a TCP/IP or other packet- or frame-based network. Ethernet uses an MTU of 1,500 bytes, while the standard Internet MTU is 576 bytes. Using a higher MTU is recommended for fast networks, while slower or more congested networks need a smaller MTU, as there is a greater chance that not all of the packet will make it through in one shot. Of course, using a small MTU on ISP Glossary:
Maximum Transmission Unit - Ever heard the business phrase that it takes 100 satisfied customersto make up for every 1 unsatisfied? As consumers we only notice whenthings go bad in our opinions... when they go smooth, we hardlynotice, and we definitely don't go around parading about how ourservice was as expected. But if things go good, no one bitches and you don't see posts about it on theinternet. If you see only few negative posts you might figure the company ispretty good. When you see thousands of negative posts you can't rationalizethat and say well for those thousands there are millions who are happy anddon't post and besides 10,000 negative posts is only 1% of a million so thecompany must be good.Negative word-of-mouth spreads like wildfire, while positiveword-of-mouth typically sits at a standstill.True but negative word of mouth means people have had negative experiences. Youcan say because of the above statement that no matter how many negativecomments there are the company must be good.but it inno way means that for every 1 satisfied customer there are 1000 whoare unsatisfied. But it does mean there are 1000 who are unsatisfied. Only a moron would ignorethat.Even of all those complaining about their cable or cell bills, likeyour stated in another message, hardly any to complain to the peoplethey should, the companyComplaining doesn't work with cell and cable companies as they know most peopleconsider these items necessities and will not cancel. Cancelling is the onlysolution. If more people did it you would see a great reduction in prices.
