A specification originally designed to provide a simple and generic way of interfacing computers and their components.Device Bay devices are about the size of a VCR tape, and would have interfaced via USB or FireWire, making it easy to plug a new hard drive or other device into the front of your PC. However, Device Bay never took off, as it was expected in 1998 but never arrived.
