Let's not forget Sy Sims- "an educated consumer is our best customer."Is this the same Sy Syms whose slogan is "you'll never see theword Sale at Syms" and who has a "Why Wait for a Sale" bannerattached to his stores? Go to Syms right now, and you'll see abig sale. Oh wait, it's not a sale, they call it a "Bash". Butalmost everything in the store is marked down. And they have ittwice a year. And educated Syms customers know to wait for it.Oh, and Syms does not price match, so other than their bogusslogan, what does this have to do with Best Buy and yourcomplaint? And I'd bet that a very small amount of customersprice match. The policy is more so consumers get a warm fuzzythat the store has the lowest prices, but I doubt that mostpeople take advantage of it. Of course, the sort of places youwant them to price match most likely would not sell you anon-grey market product if you went to their store, or wouldtell you that you couldn't get it for that price unless youbought a couple of hundred dollars worth of overpricedaccessories. And you know that, which is why you won't buythere.PS an educated poster cross-posts and doesn't waste the time ofnewsgroup readers by posting the same exact rant in multiplenewsgroups (*5*, it seems), resulting in parallel discussions. And I see you posted this Syms reply elsewhere as well.Bill
