By the way, the modem is a v.92 one, but the ISP's headend is v.90. I don't know if that may be the source of the problem. No, usually the modems at the ISP and your modem will negotiate to anacceptable protocol to both. My modem is V.92, and it connects withno problems to a V.90 ISP. 04-24-2004 15:29:37.281 - Respuesta interpretada: Aceptar 04-24-2004 15:29:37.281 - 38400,8,N,1, ctsfl=1, rtsctl=2My spanish is very rusty, but I took a stab at your log anyway. If I aminterpreting this right, it appears that the speed between your modemand your PC is set to low: 38400. Note: this is the port speedbetween your PC and modem, not the speed between your modemand the ISP. You can adjust this speed by going into your modemcontrol panel and setting it to a higher speed. Go to the "modem" tabin the modem properties panel and you should see a drop down listfor "maximum port speed ". Set this value as high as it will go, typically115200.HTH,Bill
