Tag Image File Format - Hi:My internet computer dual-boots to win95B and win98SE.The modem is a US Robotics 56K faxmodem. ( x2, about 1998, updated tov.90). The update shows on both 95 and 98.On 95b I am able to connect and download at 4400 to 4600 bytesper second. On 98SE I am only able to connect and download at 3400 to 3600bytes per second. (Occassionally I can get to 3800-3900, but that israre.)This is measured by System Monitor. As far as I can tell, all the settings seem to be the same, but Imight be missing something. Can anyone suggest some ideas or possibilities. My IE Explorer settings are identical. My modem properties (in Control panel) are identical. Both 95 & 98 connect to the same ISP & newsgroup provider, with the same IP addresses.I'm using the 4-23-99 "comm.drv" on 98 and the 8-24-96"comm.drv" on 95b.I really hope someone reads this and has some suggestions. Thanks!!abc
