At first this operating system was called Windows NT 5, until Microsoft renamed it to Windows 2000. Windows 2000 was mainly a 32-bit operating system using the NT code base, but 64-bit versions also came out for Intel's Itanium processors. Windows 2000 ads new functionality into Windows NT, such as support for USB and other new devices, built-in DirectX 7.0, and many other features.

Windows 2000 - Just to point out that the Nextel insurance coverage includes loss, theft,and abuse too. Most extended warranties and maintenance contracts don't.GregR wrote: Maintenance contracts and/or extended warranties are usually a bad deal anyway - I'd rather pocket the cost and spend the savings on repair/replacement if it's ever needed. So far the gamble has paid off handsomely.
