Ever make hard cider, or perry (like cider, but made out of pears instead of apples).

Never made any cider. Might try it because my whole family likes Mikes Hard Cider...fact that is going to be next. Thanks for mentioning that Moose.
I usually stick to IPA or doubleIPA...lot of bang for the buck and smooth as a mountain stream; especially that double. Tried porters but they seem to gag me a bit...too sweet, though everybody else here loves them. Kinda like eating a third plum and watching someone eat a peach...all you can think about is that peach.

Yeah, cider is popular around here too. Ever try double bach, or even triple bach. Heavy and strong, but good.

I have to focus on getting good at beer first! I went to a local store that has home brew products and they have the brew pails and mixes for five gallon batches. They also have the raw materials so you can make your own recipes. I have a lot to learn. They have some of the products that are too large for my Mr. Beer. If I use part of the can and try to save it for later will I have a problem with contamination? I am not casting pearls to swi
