Bo: re: your request for me to clean out my PM box; Did you get a message that my PM box was full?
Jeff:
What is the capacity of the PM per ID?
Where are we notified if we are near or at the limit?
What is the function or need of the 'archive'? How is 'archive' dif from just leaving something in my PM box?
If I do not archive something, will it eventually 'expire' and vanish?

My time is screwed up even though I set it, so I can't make a comparison. I will go back and set my time again soon. I did finally read the message because I had another message and saw it was there. The forum adjusts the times you see to your selected timezone. So if your screen says 7:18 (am? pm?), that would be your timezone (what is it?) not the writer's.

You don't even need to log into the site unless you want to post in the forum, create a personal blog or have various things tracked for you (e.g. stock symbol lookups, local weather, favorite games, etc.)

If I do not archive something, will it eventually 'expire' and vanish? I'm not currently aware of any limit. Personally, I would use archiving to keep my inbox uncluttered. PMs don't expire.

Yes, One of those black windows came up and said to the effect that your mailbox was full and you would be notified(I think)when checked. I saw your fresh post and left a message. I checked mine, had two each,I deleted(Inbox&Sent)THat's it.

PM weds, I set my time again and it still isn't right. I set it for AZ time? Maybe I am not looking in the right place for the time. I think I am going by email and pm time for me.

Found the setting for the max number of PMs. It was set to 30, we upped it to 500. That is the max number of PMs you can have in your "inbox" and "sent items" combined. It doesn't appear that it includes "archived" so I would suggest moving the PMs you want to keep to "archived".

I also run Safari and I didn't get the problem with that browser. Sorry I didn't reply earlier on this, I just read it (I'm going over old posts to find stuff that I might have missed that needs working on). I know the firefox has a built-in spellchecker that does the red underline. I know IE doesn't and I believe no other browser does either - yet. The blog editor does have a spell checker but you have to manually run it, it doesn't do the red underlines.

A member has posted a concern on the old site that she might not have enough 'puter to use the new portal and might have to 1. buy a new 'puter or 2. find a new ISP. What *EXACTLY* are the minimum requirements for using the new site? I know people that still use W95; can they use the new site? W98? My experience is that there are more antediluvian 'puters out there connected to the interwebs than one might expect. How about W3.1 on a 166MHz with 48M ram? That's the newest M$ I have; will that still work?

When posting a pic I always get the message "will I temporarily allow scripts" not exactly as worded. I don't mind oking it but that's only good for one post. It's a lot of trouble when you have to go through that every time you post a pic in the forum.

'k', so here's a question for you: Is there any way to add (or activate, as the case may be) bullet formatting in the Forum? It exists on the "old" mycopper.net Forum, but does not appear to be an option here. I don't use it often, but when needed, it is a convenient tool to have at one's disposal. Don't Tread On Me!
