(as part of this sermon, a plumb line suspended from the ceiling was used to make the visual point of the use of the plumb line and the straight line that is created by weighting it. During the illustration the line was weighted with the crucifix and then hung on the crucifix was a well used Bible. The plumb line was made straight and then even straighter.)

There is work to be done in the "Master's Vineyard"!

We are currently accepting donations for the Grover Hill Area Ministerial Association's Food Pantries, to include the "Mobile Food Pantry" which we currently bring to Junction / 5 span every 1st Saturday of the month at 1pm, The Association's "Emergency Assistance" programs which provide gas, heat, help with the electric bill and other needs on an emergency basis, and the "Burn Out Closet" that provides everything a family may need to survive the time between catastrophic loss and the insurance company payment and help.

During this season of Christmas, we would do well to remember that Christ reveals himself to each one of us, personally and individually, calling us by name to turn away from our lives lived for worldly things. He calls us to a higher purpose through "nudges" and "open doors" provided by the Spirit. The Holy Spirit can move you in His direction if you would just be still and KNOW He is God, there you will find Peace, Grace, and a burning desire to - His Purpose... a life ready for His coming... a Life to its Full! (John 10:10)

Let yourself go! and Follow Him! 

Jesus calls us in this season to "Follow Me" as he has come by birth through the Cross, the Tomb, and the Resurrection to a New Life that makes "all things new". He is calling on all to "pick up your cross", the cross of sin that each of us bear and bring it to Him. There past Calvalry, Christ wins for us victory and provides for us Salvation. All you have to do is ask, repent, believe, and come! 

In Mathew (17:7) in response to seeing His Glory revealed, His chosen are on their faces, terrified and unworthy, but Jesus reaches down and touches them and says, "Get up, do not be afraid." He says this to each of us as he reaches down and touches us. "GET UP, DO NOT BE AFRAID"  So, what are you waiting for? LIVE!

 Christmas is only the beginning Brothers and Sisters!

Junction Bible Christian Church is the Oldest Church in Paulding County. It was established to serve the small community that grew as a result of the Canal period boon and is situated at the intersection of the Miami and Erie Canals. We remain the community church here, no longer Methodist, but Independant Christian where all are welcome. We are Bible based and Evangelical centered where you will feel right at home no matter what your traditions might be.

We offer two services a week:

Sunday Worship at 10:30am (Bible Classes at 9:30am) * the current pulpit theme is from the book of Mark.

Wednesday Word at 7:00pm (lessons based on the bible and season) * currently we are discussing the book of Revelation...come join us!

Plus additional opportunities to fellowship around the word and Spirit:

Tuesday Evenings are for the youth! We provide age appropriate Bible Study / Young Christian programs for the kids. 6:30pm to 8:00pm with additional activities planned outside the church for fellowship and ministry. These include partner churches and Youth For Christ ministries activities.

Tuesday Evening Bible Study for Women: Every other Tuesday at 6:30pm our "Ladies of the Church" gather at one of their homes to study and discuss the word. All women are welcome and invited to join... look to our Facebook page www.facebook.com/JunctionBible to see where they meet next.

Thursday Evening Bible Study for Men: Every Thursday evening at 6:30pm the men gather at the Mobley's house to study and discuss topics concerning us today from a biblical perspective. Come and join in! If you need directions to the Mobley's please call us, e-mail, or "message" us on facebook.
