I have never heard of layering like this - we'll have to give it a try.

I made the cobbler today. It made the whole house smell so good. Mixed results thus far. My 18 year loved it. My 9 year old says it's "too chocolately" - obviously he's not a choc-a-holic. My husband and 14 year old are not home to try it yet. Thanks for something new to try.

Hi CENB! Glad you tried the recipe! I have had the recipe, ffor a few years.I was given the recipe,by a 70+ something Lady, that was used by her mother! No telling just how "old" that recipe is! Maybe even a depression recipe, when things were hard to get. The cobbler comes in handy for many occasions. Take care!
