Chocolate Cobbler
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix in layers. 1st layer: Melt 2 sticks of margarine and pour into greased 9x13" pan. 2nd layer:1&1/2 cups sugar, 1 & 1/2 cups of flour,3/4ths cup milk. Mix well and pour over 1st layer. 3rd layer: 1 cup sugar,6 Tbsp.cocoa.Mix and sprinkle over 2nd layer. 4th layer: 3/4ths cup hot water,3/4ths cup milk.Mix and pour over 3rd layer.Bake 30 to 40 minutes,or until toothpick comes out clean.Can be served warm or cooled. Optional-add a dollop of vanilla or coffee ice-cream on top.Yummy!

I made the cobbler today. It made the whole house smell so good. Mixed results thus far. My 18 year loved it. My 9 year old says it's "too chocolately" - obviously he's not a choc-a-holic. My husband and 14 year old are not home to try it yet. Thanks for something new to try.

Hi CENB! Glad you tried the recipe! I have had the recipe,ffor a few years.I was given the recipe,by a 70+ something Lady,that was used by her mother! No telling just how "old" that recipe is! Maybe even a depression recipe,when things were hard to get. The cobbler comes in handy for many occasions. Take care!
