Look carefully...at the seemingly small moments...in the constant shaping of souls.- Neal A.Maxwell

Spring Break
J's first Spring Break home from his mission and his last Spring Break before he moves away.  Plans had been in the works for awhile.  The top two must do things for the five of us: 1) The family fun center for go-karts, mini-golf, "rock" climbing and laser tag.  2) An over-night stay at the coast and dinner at our favorite coast restaurant.
And then... my husband needed to be gone all of Spring Break for business.
Top two things for the four of us to do.
And then... C had extra hurdle practice that he felt he could not afford to miss.
Three for the fun center and a Saturday trip to the coast rather than an overnight stay.
And then... Friday before Break, I got sick.  Really sick.  My husband wanted to stay home.  I urged him to go.  The boys are responsible, and we have good neighbors and close church family if needed.  Reluctantly he went.
During the week J and B went together to the fun center.  They had a great time.  It was nice that 13-year old and 21-year old were able to have solid one-on-one time together.  In it's own way, even better than if we had all gone.
Saturday, improved but still weak, I debated sending the boys to the coast without me.  Neighbor, Grandma Lou, told me that I needed to go.  Even if I just sat in the car, I needed to go.  Heeding her advice, I went.  I am so glad I did.  The day was beautiful - in all regards.

School starts tomorrow morning for C, B and me.  I am officially back in college.  Husband comes home tomorrow evening.  J leaves, for good, in 2 weeks.  Change is good - but it is nice to occasionally, momentarily freeze time, Saturday was just that.
